This competition is extremely challenging and involves applying problem-solving, logic and abstract skills to a variety of biological scenarios. All the students performed well, with the following achieving a Bronze Award: Ellie Archer, Abi Cannell, Violet Cramphorn, Lottie Hobson, Bethan Sleath and Zoe van Maanenberg. This Wednesday, the Year 7 Robotics Club travelled to RAF Honington to compete against other schools in a number of challenges with a Lego Mindstorms robot which they have spent the past months building and programming.
They had a fantastic day learning about engineering opportunities within the RAF and competing in a number of challenges against other schools, including winning first prize in the challenge to present and explain their robot design to a panel of RAF engineers.
Congratulations to Anna Stichbury, Scarlett Mills, Hollie Adkin, Amelie Langford and Molly Price on their fantastic achievement.
Again, 50% of the money raised will go to supporting the School Charity, ‘Beat UK’, and the other 50% will be spent directly on our students, as determined by our Student Council.
If you haven’t already made your voluntary £2.00 contribution, we would be grateful if donations could be made via WisePay. You will find the listing within the ‘General Products’ section of your WisePay account.
