Welcome to Year 7
It is a very exciting time, where students start the next chapter in their school journey and they will get the opportunity to start afresh. There are a wealth of opportunities available to you to support your development and achievement over the coming years.
Our commitment in the Year 7 team is to work with students to develop a variety of fundamental skills, including personal skills such as resilience and independence as well as embed opportunities to develop moral values, community responsibility and enhanced personal and social skills.
As a year group we particularly focus on the school value ‘Kindness’, which is key to ensuring a positive start and experience within the Presdales community. We will consider this theme throughout the year.
We will also focus on supporting students being organised and prepared for each lesson, ensuring that they are able to access and complete homework activities and ensuring a positive attitude towards learning to support all students flourishing. Students will be expected to take greater responsibility for their learning and achievements with us supporting them all of the way! There will be a variety of extra curricular opportunities available for all students throughout the year, and it is expected that every student will take part in at least two activities per week.
