Our Sixth Form Open Evening will be on Thursday 11th November.
The first session will be 6.00pm – 7.30pm and the second will be 7.30pm – 9.00pm.
We are thrilled to invite you into our school this year for Sixth Form Open Evening. We hope this virtual tour gives you a great insight into our school community and we hope to be able to welcome you to Presdales soon. All information regarding the curriculum and pastoral systems are outlined within this area of the website. Information about requesting further guidance and advice can be found at the bottom of this page.
Careers guidance is an integral part of life in the Sixth Form and everyone receives as much help as they need in reaching that all-important decision of what to do after Year 13. We encourage students to pursue the right path for them whether that be university, college, an apprenticeship, employment or a gap year. Advice is always tailored to meet the needs of each student. A Post 18 options evening is delivered to parents and carers to explain the options available to their son/daughter.
There will be plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy life in the Sixth Form beyond the study of your chosen subjects, these include Model United Nations, Young Enterprise Scheme, Bar Mock Trial and Pinewood. We also offer a number of roles on the Sixth Form Leadership team such as Head/Deputy Head student, Head/Deputy Head of House, Senior Student and Charity and Mental Health Ambassadors. Year 12 students will also participate in 1 period of core PE a week in order to support their physical health and mental wellbeing.
At Presdales School, we are proud of the broad range of A Levels we offer and the quality of our provision. Remember you will be spending a large amount of time studying the subjects of your choice in the Sixth Form, so it is important to make the right decisions. Please click any subject panel below to hear from our teachers about the A Level content, assessment, and career options for each subject.
Our students are proud of their school and the subjects they take. Choosing A Level subjects can be difficult. Choose subjects you enjoy or think you will enjoy. Try to think ahead to imagine how your choice of subjects will help with your career plans. Please click on any subject panel to hear from students who are currently taking the subject at A Level.
