Welcome to Year 9
Dear Parents and Carers,
I feel privileged to be your daughter’s Head of Year and I am looking forward to working with the year group to see what they can achieve this year in the next step in their Presdales journey.
Year 9 is a very exciting and important year as students’ will be starting to learn content for their GCSEs in subjects such as Science, and will be choosing the other GCSE subjects they wish to study in Year 10 and 11. It is vital that your daughter thinks carefully about these choices and the Year 9 pastoral team be there to help guide them through this process.
Each year group has a school value to focus on and in Year 9, this will be equality. I’m looking forward to seeing our Year 9 students embracing this theme. There will continue to be house events and year group challenges for the students to get involved in throughout the year, as well as opportunities to create and deliver assemblies to the rest of the year group on important themes.
As a team we are very much looking forward to supporting your daughter during this next step.
