Well done to our rounders teams who played against Chauncy on Monday 5th June! Some excellent batting and fielding on display!
Our Year 7s won 12 1/2 – 10 1/2
Our Year 8s won 24-2
Our Year 9s lost 14 1/2 – 8
Our Year 10s won 16-8
Massive well done to our senior rounders team who played against Bishops Stortford College last week. Unfortunately, they lost 28-18, however starting with only 7 players due to illness and finishing with 6 meant they played amazing. Great batting and tremendous fielding. Well done all!
Awesome performance by the Year 10 Rounders team in the District finals this week. Winning 18.5 runs to 5.5 runs to the runners up Chauncy. Well done girls!!
Well done to the Year 9 rounders team who came 2nd in their district rounders tournament on Tuesday 6th June. Star player was Honey Hudson for her excellent batting, awesome catches and helping coach the team!
Well done to the Year 8 rounders team who beat Simon Balle in a very close game last night 13 – 12 1/2!
Star player was Willow Storey for her excellent bowling!
Amazing efforts from our Year 7, 8 and 9 Pentathlon athletes last week.
The Year 7 team came 1st overall with Anna Fourie also winning the individual all around competition!
The Year 8/9 combined team also came 1st overall with Poppy Ward coming 2nd in the individual all around competition!
A very successful day in the hot sun, well done girls!
Special thank you to our Year 9 leaders who were amazing all day helping us run each event!
Massive well done to the U13 Cricket team who have won the U13 Chance to Shine Cricket Competition.
Some excellent cricket throughout the day. They beat Simon Balle, STAGS, Beaumont and drew to Katherine Warrington. We won our group so went through to the final to play the winners of group 2. We then went on to beat them by 9 runs!! Well done girls what an excellent day!!
Congratulations to the Year 8 and 9/10 Calypso cricket teams who both came out victorious at their recent tournaments. The Year 8’s were undefeated all day and the 9/10 team only lost one game. They were involved in an intense ‘bowl off’ for first place which they won thanks to an excellent ball by Chloe Evans! Well done to all of the girls for working so hard in such hot conditions.
Star Player for Year 8 was Charlotte Wilson for continued progress throughout the tournament and Star Player for Year 9/10 was Georgiana Fowler for her hat trick of wickets against Freman College.
A huge well done to the following Year 10 students who took part in the 2023 nationwide Biology Challenge Competition. This is the highest participation rate that Presdales has ever had in the competition. Congratulations Year 10 biologists!

We had a fantastic first session designing our mosaics based on the ‘elements’.
The 18 students were totally absorbed and full of excitement. Claire Costello, a local mosaic artist, led the workshop along with myself. The mosaics already look vibrant and full of creativity. Thank you to everyone for your continued enthusiasm.
Cannot wait until next week’s workshop.
