Using the impressive new Bluetooth Data Logging equipment grant-funded by EdufundUK Ltd our Physics Technician has been exploring a new, fun and relatable practical to demonstrate the absorption/reflection of heat. This will be introduced to the classroom in due course. Using a Pepsi can (black) and a Diet Coke can (shiny silver) the digitally graph produced in the students’ EasySense2 software will perfectly record how the two colours affect the temperature of the identical content (water). With subtle changes in temperature this could not be recorded with a normal thermometer but in digital form is very clear to the students.
