Year 7 will be involved in a ‘Rudolph Run’ during the afternoon on Wednesday 18th December. They will be out of their lesson during period 6 and will be taking part in a fun activity to help to raise money for Isabel Hospice. The students will be asked to complete two laps of the school field dressed in their PE kit, with the option to wear a Christmas jumper, if they would like to, and a set of reindeer antlers. The antlers will be provided by Isabel Hospice for the fun run.
If the weather is too wet for the run to go ahead, we will be holding a ‘Rudolph Dance’ in the Sports Hall instead.

Last academic year, our Presdales Charity of the Year was the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow. On Friday 15th December, we were pleased to present the cheque for £4,108.85 to representatives from the NICU Unit, Husnara Begum and Laura McGee.
A big thank you to all parents, students and staff who helped to raise this amazing sum of money for our chosen charity. We hope that the money will help in some way to assist the brilliant staff continue to help many families through their NICU journeys.
The School Charity for this academic year is The Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG). Some events have already taken place this year, with House Charity Weeks from Frank, Curie and Parks.
As is tradition at this time of the year, the Charity Ambassadors set up a refreshment stall for the exciting Sixth Form Revue. Well done to the super Charity Ambassadors who set up the stall and ran a very well organised area. Thank you to all of the students who brought from the stall too. An amazing £471.46 will be going towards our School Charity of the Year, the NICU at Princess Alexandra Hospital!
Finally, thank you to all of the students who donated for non-school uniform. If parents would like to make any further donations for non-uniform, please look on Wisepay for ‘non-uniform’, and you can still donate to the charity.
Again, 50% of the money raised will go to supporting the School Charity, ‘Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow’, and the other 50% will be spent directly on our students, as determined by our Student Council.
We would welcome a voluntary £2.00 contribution which should be made via WisePay. You will find the listing within the ‘General Products’ section of your WisePay account.
Thank you in advance.
The NICU at the Princess Alexandra Hospital is a Ward within the hospital where babies born too soon or too sick receive specialist treatment and support. It is estimated that it costs over £1500 a day for a baby to be cared for in NICU.
The charity has been promoted to all year groups in form time this week and the Sixth Form Charity Ambassadors are in the process of organising fundraising events.
