GCSE Food Preparation
Year 11 students practical success
As part of their GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition course, our fantastic Year 11 students successfully completed their 3 hour practical exam this week. There was a lovely atmosphere in the department and students really wowed our staff and visitors. This year the Food Preparation Task themes are based on Celebrations Around the World, Healthy and Nutritious dishes suitable for a family on a budget and dishes using seasonal fruit and vegetables to be sold in a cafe or restaurant. Year 11 have produced a wide range of interesting dishes to fit their chosen task. Staff and visitors lucky enough to taste the food all made extremely positive comments about the food including; “amazing aromas”, “delicious flavours” and “fantastic presentation”.
