U13s
An exciting afternoon for our U13 teams who took part in an EFL 6 a side football tournament hosted on Friday 25th November. Our Year 7 team topped their group winning all 5 matches, scoring 22 goals and conceding 0. They looked favourites to win the tournament however in the quarter final they just couldn’t find the back of the net and unfortunately lost on penalties. It just goes to show how you can never predict a game of football. Brilliant performances from all the girls and very unfortunate not to go all the way.
Our Year 8 team were also very impressive in their group winning all 5 matches, scoring 16 goals and conceding only 3. They went on to win their quarter and semi finals reaching the final! The Year 8s looked favourites to lift the cup, however again we just couldn’t find the net after being so prolific up to this point and unfortunately conceded a breakaway goal to lose 0-1.
At the end of the day it was a case of so near yet so far. At one stage it looked like it would be an ‘All Presdales’ final with both out teams so dominant in the group stages. The organisers at Stevenage FC were extremely complimentary about the quality of football played by the Presdales teams and had fully expected us to win the tournament. However that’s football! The girls did themselves proud and enjoyed the experience.
Year 7 Player of the Tournament – Liv White
Year 8 Player of the Tournament – Julia Dodd
U14s
Well done to the U14s football team who won 5-0 against Rickmansworth in the County Cup last week. This means the girls now enter the quarter final stage in the next round.
Comfortable win. The girls are capable of playing to a higher level but they did what was needed. Sterner tests will follow I’m sure. Two goals from Sophie Langford and a hat trick from Mia Schillaci Rowland secured the win.
Player of the Match voted by Rickmansworth was the captain, Lali Lister who ran Rickmansworth ragged with her outstanding dribbling skills.
Coaches Player of the Match was Mia Schillachi Rowland with a powerful performance as Centre Forward and bagging a hat trick.
Well done to all the girls!
U13s
Well done to the U13s football team who have reached the quarter finals of the County Cup after beating John Warner 6-2. Fantastic team performance and 100% commitment throughout. Play of the Match selected by J Warner was Mia Schillaci Rowland who scored her second successive hat trick. Coaches Player was Lily McMenamin for a skilful and disciplined performance creating lots of chances and scoring the opening goal. Well done to all the girls!
Year 7
Great performance by the Year 7 team who played in a district football match against Haileybury Turnford this week. This was a tough match, every ball contested and a real test for the girls. Presdales led 3-1 with 10mins left but a penalty converted by Haileybury Turnford meant it was a nervy finish. The girls fought for every ball but unfortunately they equalised with literally the final kick of the game to end in a hard fought 3-3 draw. Outstanding commitment from all the girls and some lovely football throughout. Coaches Player of the Match was awarded to Aleksandra who played an amazing match. Really proud of all the girls!
Table Tennis
Well done to the U14 and U16 Table Tennis teams who played in the County tournament last week at Welwyn.
The U14s came 3rd place and the U16’s narrowly missed out on medals coming in 4th place! Well done girls!!!
Netball

Well done to the Year 9 netball teams who both won their games against Simon Balle last Thursday.
The A team won 33-7 with Alexa Ingrey voted as Star player! The B team won 30-14 with Chloe Evans voted as Star player!
Senior Team
Congratulations to the Senior netball team who beat John Henry Newman 47-18 last night in the quarter finals of the County Cup! The girls played amazingly despite being unable to feel their hands in the freezing conditions and are now through to the semi finals after Christmas. Star player goes to Rosie Martin!
Equestrian
Presdales Equestrian Team Report from Felbridge 6th November and Forest Edge on 27th November:
At the beginning of November, Scarlett Thornton, Ruby Robinson and Connie Thompson made the trip down to Sussex to represent Presdales in show jumping in absolutely torrential rain. The arena was not covered, so they all got absolutely soaked whilst doing their classes. The show organisers after this wisely put a stop to the competition for the rest of day. The girls put on a brave show but there weren’t any placings at this time.
The next date was 27th November at Forest Edge, Norfolk. This time it was Evie Lodge, Ruby Robinson and Scarlett Thornton taking part. At least the show venue was undercover so well protected from the weather. The competition was a tough one with a lot of schools taking part and the team came 11th overall. Well done to you all!
