Hockey
Presdales U13s hockey team played Sir John Lawes School in a County Cup group match yesterday afternoon. The conditions were tough with rain and wind throughout the 40 minutes of the match, but this did not deter our girls!
The match was closely contested, with the first half ending 1-1. Sir John Lawes started more quickly and scored within the first 90 secs. Presdales equalised with a lovely passing move through midfield. In the second half, again Sir John Lawes started more quickly and went ahead to lead 2-1.
However, our girls then started to dominate the match, making more passing combinations and increasing the number of shots on goal. Presdales has a series of short corners, where the post and a great save from their GK prevented a goal. However, the girls then started to find the net, scoring 4 in relatively quick succession. Presdales deservedly won the match 5-3. Really good performance from the girls, especially in the second half. Well done!
