Year 9 Enrichment Mosaic Workshop

You all worked with so much enthusiasm, energy and in different friendship groups as a great team. Its going to be exciting to see your work displayed on the pergola with all the other mosaics. Thank you to Ava Hackett, Olivia Holme, Ellie Lawrence, Violet Mortimer, Honour Ballard, Oleksandra Kuchyna, Sienna Musk.

On Wednesday 3rd July, Mrs Page organised a mosaic enrichment afternoon. We were put into pairs and given a small slab which we used for our mosaic design. We were allowed to design our mosaic together with our own ideas. My partner and I made a mosaic inspired by the ocean. We put a turtle on our design. It was a great afternoon working with other Year 9 students, there were drinks, snacks, and music. Mrs Page got lots of different shapes and coloured mosaics and we experimented with different techniques. I would love to do this again!

Personally, I had a great experience with Mrs Page and the other students who participated in the Mosaic Enrichment afternoon on July 3rd. I and a handful of students were graciously given the opportunity, by Mrs Page, to create lovely mosaic’s that will eventually be displayed for the whole school to see. This opportunity provided me with a chance to express my creativity through a nature themed art piece and overall gave me a joyous Wednesday afternoon.

I would definitely do this again.
