The Art department are delighted to invite students ages 11-14 to participate in the national Art competition from the Royal Mail. Royal Mail’s Heroes Stamp Design Competition encourages children aged 4-14 to design a stamp to pay tribute to the heroic work of key workers. We are asking students to think of the heroes who have continued to work tirelessly to keep the country moving during the pandemic – and to keep us all safe. Their designs could be of NHS frontline workers, schoolteachers’ or support staff, supermarket workers, military personnel, delivery drivers. Or perhaps public transport workers, scientists, emergency services, food bank volunteers or cleaners. Or Captain Sir Tom Moore. A special panel of judges will pick the winning designs. The final eight designs will be sent to Her Majesty the Queen before the final eight are printed and issued by Royal Mail. In addition, the eight winners will receive up to £1,000 in high street vouchers and money for their school. There are 120 great prizes on offer for region winners and runners up! We are looking forward to seeing some wonderful stamp designs – PLEASE SEE A MEMBER OF THE ART DEPARTMENT FOR A STAMP TEMPLATE. All entries to be handed in to the Art department by Friday 21st May (see below information from the Royal Mail). Best of luck to you all!
