Athletics Plate Final
On Monday 4th July, the U14 and U16 athletics teams competed at the County League plate final having both finished 6th in the area B league. Out of 56 schools in the County League, the U14s (front row in picture) finished 3rd/8 at the plate final and therefore 11th overall in Hertfordshire. The U16 (back row) finished 5th/8 and therefore 13th overall in Hertfordshire.
Well done to everyone involved, especially committing to 6 league fixtures over the summer term with late finishes. You’ve all done so well!
Nicky Morris Champions
Well done to all the athletes who competed in the final athletics fixture of the year last Thursday! The U13’s came 2nd overall and the U15’s came 1st overall. Therefore the girls came overall in 1st place! Congratulations on a very successful season!
Special mention to Beth Botheras who broke the 300m record and the U15’s who broke the 4 x 300m record.
Rounders
Year 7
Well done to our Year 7 Rounders team who won 11 – 2 1/2 against John Warner on Tuesday. Star Player was Charlotte Wilson.
Year 8
The Year 8 rounders team have finished off the season with a win against John Warner! They won 12 1/2 – 8 1/2. Well done everyone – you all played so well! Star player was backstop Ellie Sopala.
Year 7 District Rounders Tournament
Well done to the Year 7 rounders teams who competed in the district rounders tournament on Wednesday for our last fixture of the year!
The A team batted exceptionally and worked well as a team in the field to come 1st overall and are now DISTRICT ROUNDERS CHAMPIONS and undefeated all season!! Star Player was Ruby Millburn.
The B team also worked well together to come 7th overall and improved their batting massively throughout the tournament! Star Player was Alice Redhead.
Congratulations girls – a perfect way to end the year on a high!
