County Nicola Mabbitt Tennis Tournament
Well done to the U13 and U14 tennis teams who played in the District round of the above tournament on the 17th June. Both teams won their games against Simon Balle and Broxbourne to progress to the County Finals.
On 27th June, the Year 8 and 9 tennis teams took part in the County Finals. The Year 8’s came 3rd overall and the Year 9’s won! Star players were Lois Quinn and Beth Botheras who were undefeated all afternoon!

Rounders
U17s
Well done to the U17 rounders team who played against Bishops Stortford College last week. The game was super close at 9 all after the first innings but in the end unfortunately we lost 19 & 1/2 – 16. Star player was Hannah Stapleton for her exceptional batting and amazing catches! We played the first innings with 7 players until Anu and Hollie were able to join us after their exam.
Year 10
Well done to the Year 10 rounders team for coming 3rd and showing excellent team work in a recent tournament. Star Player was Rosie Martin. Thank you to Olivia Wright for stepping in last minute. You are a star!
Year 9
Well done to the Year 9 Rounders team who played against Leventhorpe this week! Great teamwork and some great batting enabled them to hold their lead in the second innings winning 13-11. Star player was Evie Macrae with some amazing batting!
Year 8
Well played to the Year 8’s who also played rounders against Leventhorpe. Unfortunately they lost 13-5 but it was a fantastic effort by all!! Player of the match was voted by the opposition – well done Chloe Haworth!
The Year 8s also played brilliantly in their District Rounders tournament on Tuesday! Excellent batting and team work – they came 3rd out of 7 teams – well done girls!! Star player was Ellie Sopala.
Year 7
Unfortunately, despite a great effort by all, our Year 7s lost 17-7 & 1/2 to Leventhorpe this week. Star player was Izzy Statham!
Cricket
Well done to the U15 Cricket team who last week played in the district tournament. They played some amazing cricket winning all their games except to Beaumont, who went on to win the competition.
Tring : won 58-55
Marlborough : won 76-46
Beaumont : lost 67- 61
Rickmansworth : won 75 – 23
In the 3 v 4 playoff we beat Chancellors 57-51 finishing in 3rd overall! Well done girls!!
Sport Leaders
Thank you to the lovely Year 7, 8 and 9’s who have been fantastic sports leaders recently! You represented Presdales amazingly at both the primary district athletics and at Wheatcroft Primary School. You were all brilliant, well done!!
