Generation Hertford and Ware Careers Fair
In partnership with the Hertfordshire Career Hub, Hertfordshire Opportunities Portal (HOP) invited our Year 10 students to attend Generation Hertford and Ware, which was held at BEAM on Monday 21st October.
This was a great opportunity for our students to meet local employers from across a broad range of sectors, and discover the amazing opportunities available to them right here in Hertfordshire. Students were able to find out about trainee roles, apprenticeships, degree apprenticeships and the qualifications and SKILLS (especially soft skills) Hertfordshire businesses value/require. There were businesses from a variety of sectors including Barclays, Herts Police, MBDA and Sky Studios Elstree covering all opportunities available locally. Students also had the chance to chat to representatives from Debut Academy, Hertford Regional College and the University of Hertfordshire.
All students were well behaved, many made good use of the booklets which impressed the exhibitors which was lovely to see.
