Year 11 Futures Day
On Thursday 2nd November, we ran A Level taster sessions for those students who are considering taking A Levels. During the morning, our students were given the opportunity to experience all subjects which are not offered at GCSE (for example, Media, Psychology, and Politics). In the afternoon, they chose to attend taster sessions in subjects which are offered at GCSE (for example, Physics, German, and PE).
For our Year 11s who are considering pursuing a college pathway, they visited both the Broxbourne and Ware Hertford Regional College campuses. They experienced what college life would be like and also spent time in different departments, thoroughly enjoying participating in sessions such as Fashion, Media Makeup and Travel & Tourism.
We hope our students benefitted from the day which was designed to enable them to make informed decisions regarding their choices after GCSEs.
