The Art Department
Year 7
Year 7 have been looking at Colour blending and the work of the ‘Fauves’. They have all created vibrant oil pastel landscapes showing the mark making and colour theory learnt in lessons. Their work is full of sunshine and Mediterranean warmth, wonderful work Year 7.
Year 10
A selection of Year 10’s Artist research pages based on the theme of ‘Food’. They demonstrate a variety of styles and compositions using the departments ARTY (Analysis, Research, Techniques, Opinions).
We are excited to see and share their final outcomes for the mock after half term. Good luck! Year 10.
Year 10 Cupcakes
A Class of Year 10 students have been focusing on a project called Sweet Treats.
The students researched the Artist Claes Oldenburg before then going onto design their own 3D cupcake, the students were given creative freedom when doing this. The students then began to make their cupcakes out of air-drying clay in steps learning how to mould and shape the clay. Once made the students used acrylic paint ensuring to add highlights and shadows to make them look more realistic.
