Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

Hello, my name is Ms Durant and from September I will be taking on the role of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Lead at Presdales. Part of this role is about finding ways to further foster a sense of belonging for all, and I am very much looking forward to working with staff, students and families to build on the work Ms Coulson has done to celebrate the diversity we have in our community and to finding ways to further support inclusion at Presdales.

As you will be aware, the School regularly marks key moments in the EDI calendar, including most recently Ms Price taking the lead of Pride Month events and funding-raising, so many thanks to Ms Price for all of this hard work. Looking ahead to the Autumn Term, the theme for Octobers 2026’s Black History Month is “Honouring Our Communities.” I would therefore love to hear from you if there are any individuals or groups, past or present, in our local community whose impact you think should be celebrated. Please do send through any suggestions that you may have.
