The English Department was delighted to receive so many entries for the competition this year. It was wonderful to see that lots of students found time to enjoy some escapist writing during lockdown. The theme this year was adventure: students were challenged to write an opening chapter for a story with a title that must include one of our House colours. Entries demonstrated the wealth of talent and brilliance of imagination at Presdales, with settings ranging from distant planets and the far future to Caribbean islands and icy underground caves. Choosing winners was very tough and we’d like to congratulate all the entrants for their effort and creativity.
