Year 9 GCSE Options Evening – Wednesday 29th January, 6pm
Year 9 parents / carers and students are invited to attend the GCSE Options Evening planned for Wednesday 29th January. There will be a 15-20-minute presentation at 6pm in the hall explaining the options process. There will then be an opportunity to visit subject rooms to talk to teachers about the content of the GCSE courses offered. Teachers will be available from 6.20pm until 7.45pm.

About this event
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and Hertfordshire Futures’ skills portal HOP are hosting an exciting careers fair to highlight different job sectors and opportunities open to young people in Welwyn and Hatfield areas now and in the near future: and give young people an opportunity to meet employers.
This event operates a Twilight session from 3.30pm to 5.00pm and any local school or Oaklands college students are welcome to attend to meet with local employers and learn about the many career opportunities available.
Parents/Carers are also more than welcome to accompany their child. Attending this event will:
• Help young people gain meaningful encounters with employers
• Highlight to young people about a variety of local jobs and industries
• Inform students about the varied routes into work
