Head Girl

I am delighted to introduce myself as your new Head Girl. I know that my face may not be familiar to many of you reading this but I hope to change that next year.

I am currently studying Biology, Psychology and Sociology with the intention of doing Psychology at university. Although I have only been here for a year, I was greeted with open arms into our school community and was always made to feel welcome by all my teachers.

In my time at Presdales I have always made the effort to take part in any extra curricular activities made available to me. For example, I am a Mental Health Ambassador and have been trying my best to take an active role in increasing mental health awareness in our school community. As well as that I I have been participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award which has forced me to go outside of my comfort zone to experience new things.

I have been blessed with an incredible senior student team that were amazing at planning and helping to run our recent Year 12 Induction Day earlier this term. I have no doubt that any future events organised by these students will be anything less than spectacular and look forward to working with them next year to deliver nothing but the best.

I am so excited to be Deputy Head Girl and can’t wait to work with the Senior Student team to support the school this academic year!

I am currently studying Maths, French and German and hope to study Modern Languages at University. I have had so many amazing opportunities at Presdales, such as taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh award, a pre-pandemic History trip to Berlin and completing my EPQ. Even during the numerous lockdowns, Presdales has supported and encouraged me to do my best, and this year I had the chance to enter the Oxford German Olympiad, in which I won the 16-18 age group category. The extra-curricular activities on offer here at Presdales have helped me to develop and grow as a person, as well as building strong friendships along the way. I would really encourage all students to participate in any and all opportunities at Presdales.

I am looking forward to working with all year groups and supporting students to reach their potential this year- both academically and personally. I hope the school will see a return to normality, and I am sure that the friendly and inspiring Presdales community will ensure that everyone has a great year.
