News from PE …
On Monday 17th May the first post-covid Presdales school trip was able to go ahead! 35 year 10 GCSE PE students spent two and a half days at The Lock Climbing Centre learning several rock-climbing skills as part of the practical element of their GCSE PE course. On the first day the girls learnt how to correctly put on their harnesses, how to tie themselves into a rope and also how to safely belay for each other. The second two days were spent attempting climbs on varied difficulty walls as well as the girls trying some competitive speed climbing. The girls were a credit to the school; they gave everything a go, were very polite and we discovered some excellent climbers! Well done to all of the girls who worked hard throughout the three days despite aching lots! It was a pleasure to spend time with them and we managed to get lots of video evidence for their GCSE! All in all, a very successful trip!
