Admissions

The majority of students stay on at Presdales after Year 11. In addition students join us from a range of other schools to take advantage of the broad range of A Level subjects on offer here and our excellent track record of results. Since 1999 we have welcomed boys into our Sixth Form. We have been delighted with their involvement in the Sixth Form and the school as a whole and look forward to seeing a growing number join us.

Our Curriculum

Sixth Form pupils follow a curriculum that is designed to stimulate the mind and equip them to think. Courses are structured around learning rather than assessment, but in a way that enables pupils to achieve the best possible examination results. The curriculum is sufficiently flexible to give all pupils the opportunity to excel.

Extra Curricular Activities

Students in the Sixth Form have the opportunity to participate in a fantastic range of activities beyond the curriculum. From the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award to participating in the Model United Nations, to Young Enterprise,Mock Trial and Sport and Music, members of the Sixth Form take a leading role. Students are expected to participate in at least one activity, but the majority will participate in many.
