GCSE Food Preparation Year 11 students practical success
As part of their GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition course, our fantastic Year 11 students successfully recently completed their 3 hour practical exam. There was a lovely atmosphere in the department and students really wowed our staff and visitors. This year, the Food Preparation Task themes are based on Lactose intolerant or gluten free diets, dishes suitable for an obese adult on a calorie-calorie diet and Healthy and Nutritious dishes suitable for serving in a school that is launching a new international lunchtime menu. Year 11 have produced a wide range of interesting dishes to fit their chosen task. Staff and visitors lucky enough to taste the food all made extremely positive comments about the food including; “amazing aromas,” “delicious flavours” and “fantastic presentation”.
