Year 9 Options Evening
Tuesday 25th November
6pm to 7.45pm
For Year 9 Students and Parents / Carers
The evening will begin with a 15–20 minute presentation at 6pm in the Hall, outlining the options process.
Teachers will then be available from 6.20pm until 7.45pm in their classrooms. This is a valuable opportunity to learn more about the courses available, speak with subject teachers about the content of the GCSE courses offered, and get guidance on making informed decisions about your child’s future studies.
There is no need to book for the event.
Please note that while car parking is available, our site will be busy due to lettings.
Unifrog – The Complete Destinations Platform
We are excited to announce that Unifrog now offers accounts for parents and carers!
Alongside our existing student and teacher accounts, parent/carer accounts give you access to a range of helpful tools and insights to support your child in making informed decisions about their future.
With a Unifrog parent/carer account, you can:
- View your child’s upcoming tasks, incomplete actions, events, placements, and teacher interactions.
- Explore the same tools your child uses — for example, discover which “frog” they are in the personality quiz.
- Access webinars, virtual fairs, and guides specifically designed for parents and carers.
- Sign up for a monthly parent newsletter packed with updates, news, and opportunities.
How to create your account:
You can set up your account using Single Sign-On on the normal Sign in page, or by using your email address on this page.
If you have got more than one child with a Unifrog account, you will see them all in your parent account — even if they are at different schools or colleges (or if one is in primary and another in secondary).
Before getting started, please take a moment to read the help guide, which explains what information about your child you can view and provides more details about parent/carer accounts.
Higher Education Information Visit
On Monday 17th November, we were delighted to welcome a Fashion Design Lecturer and a Photography Lecturer from Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) to our school to deliver a series of talks and a workshop.
Students studying Textiles from Years 10 to 13, along with A Level Photography students, attended an assembly where our guest speakers introduced the dynamic Fashion and Photography departments at BNU.
Sixth Form students were also given the chance to take part in a focused portfolio workshop. The session offered practical guidance on building a strong portfolio for university applications and provided valuable insights into careers in fashion and photography.
This was a fantastic opportunity to gain expert guidance and inspiration directly from university professionals. A big thank you to Tracey Sherwood and Evangelia Thomadaki for generously sharing their time and expertise.
Virtual Law Events for Year 12 & 13
Insight into the Royal Air Force
Tuesday 25th November – 5pm to 6:30pm
Dear Students,
Have you ever wondered how Britain protects its skies and keeps us safe? Now is your unique chance to join us and find out how.
The RAF protects the skies of the United Kingdom and is the first point of call when threats arise in the airspace. You might be surprised to learn that just 4% of RAF personnel are pilots. This means that 94% of all other roles are in different sectors.
If you are interested in:
Technology, Cyber, Engineering, Catering, Medical, including Doctors and Nurses, Accounting, HR, Law, then the RAF might well have a role for you.
By joining the RAF, you will receive world-class training, get excellent starting salaries, subsidised food and accommodation, plus the opportunity to travel the globe!
Do you have any hobbies – skiing? Cycling? Boxing? Running? Or perhaps something else. The RAF has you covered and will pay you to enjoy doing the things that you want through their adventurous training.
Even if you have never considered a career with the RAF before, now might be your chance to explore that option. If you share some of these values: communication skills, teamwork, integrity and honesty, motivation and self-confidence, then you are already part way there!
