Further Education Options for Year 11
A Level Taster Sessions and Hertford Regional College Visit
On Wednesday 22nd October, we held a series of taster sessions for students considering A Level study. In the morning, they received information about subjects not currently offered at GCSE, including Economics, Psychology, Photography, Media, and Politics. In the afternoon, students selected four taster sessions from subjects already familiar to them at GCSE, such as Chemistry, History, and French.
For Year 11 students exploring college pathways, there was an opportunity to visit Hertford Regional College campuses. They gained insight into college life and took part in sessions across a range of departments including Beauty, Childcare, and Travel & Tourism. Highlights included engaging activities in areas like Fashion, Media Makeup, and Visual Merchandising, which were thoroughly enjoyed by all.
We hope the day proved valuable for all students and helped them feel more confident and informed when making decisions about their post-GCSE options.
