PressTales 14 February 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

This afternoon, over 100 students depart on the annual school skiing trip to Switzerland. I wish all of the students and staff a safe and enjoyable journey. I am sure it will be a fantastic experience and one that they will all never forget.

Today, we say goodbye to Jerry Dyer, our network manager, who moves onto a new challenge. We would like to wish Jerry well and thank him for the contribution he has made in updating our IT infrastructure over the past few years. We are pleased to welcome his replacement, Mr Kenneth Ochiabuto, who has been with us for the past few weeks.

We would also like to wish Mrs Fehmi well as she goes on maternity leave today; we look forward to hearing the good news in a few weeks time.

I was privileged this week to spend time looking at all of the work that many Year 7 students did for the 'Kindness' competition that Mrs Fry ran. I was impressed with the creativity, time and energy that the students had put in to produce amazing pictures, paintings, poems etc. More information is below. Well done to those who took part.

We would like to thank all those who donated money this morning for the non-uniform day. The current total is £1241, with some money still to come in. The money raised goes towards both our school charity, 'World Vision' and to the school council.

I wish you all well for the half term break. If you are going away, then please have a safe journey. A reminder that we have an inset day on Monday 24th February so we look forward to seeing the students again on Tuesday 25th February.

Regards,
Matt Warren
