PressTales 17 January 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

Whilst it seems an age ago, I trust you had an enjoyable Christmas break. We are very pleased with the way in which our students have returned to school, especially Year 11 and 13 who are now in their last full term with us at Presdales. The mock exams at the end of last term went well, with many students achieving fantastic grades.

It was a pleasure to see Year 13 parents last night at the consultation evening. We had a number of families commenting that this would be their last one after seven years, or even more for some!

We know that there has been disruption to the buses this week due to roadworks in Hertford. We have made contact with HCC and the bus companies on behalf of parents. Hopefully, the traffic will ease as soon as the roadworks are completed.

There are ongoing issues with parking at the rugby club, where parents are still parking in the back car park. You will know that, due to the buses coming on site and waiting for students, parents cannot come onto the school site at the end of the day, which makes the traffic outside very busy. Please be advised that you can come onto the school site from 3:40pm to pick up your daughter. I would like to suggest that, where possible, you arrange to meet your daughter at 3:40 on the school site instead of 3:25pm. Students are able to stay on school premises safely. I know that this will not work for every family due to picking up siblings, but it may help alleviate the problem. Thank you for your support.

Regards,
Matt Warren
