Presdales School A Level Results
Thursday, 18 August 2016
We were extremely pleased with this year’s A level results. The whole year group worked exceptionally hard and, with the brilliant support of their teachers, did very well indeed. There were 119 students in Year 13 who between them sat 357 examinations at A2. The overall pass rate (grades A*-E) at A2 was 99.4%. 22% of all grades were at A* or A, a further 37% were at grade B and an additional 27% were at grade C; in total, therefore, 86% of all the grades obtained were at A*, A, B or C. These are excellent results of which the students can be justifiably proud.
The average point score for A2 entry was a very pleasing 229. The average point score per Year 13 student, including both their AS and A2 results, is calculated as 766 (although this figure is still provisional). 8 students achieved either 3 or 4 A* or A grades. These are very good results which bode extremely well for university entry this year.
Our students did very well indeed and are to be most warmly congratulated on their fully deserved success in these challenging examinations.
