Year 7 Mathematics trip to the Isle of White
Friday, 04 March 2016
As I am sure you are aware, residential courses are an invaluable part of the National Curriculum. The Isle of Wight trip is a worthwhile and enjoyable experience for Year 7 students. It provides the opportunity to extend learning beyond the classroom and into the world at large. It uses adventure sessions as a basis and inspiration for the National Curriculum Mathematics. The students take part in activities including abseiling, aeroball, archery, climbing, high ropes, zip wire, problem solving, quad bikes and numerous Mathematics linked activities.
What the students had to say:
“The trip was very enjoyable and exciting and the PGL staff were very enthusiastic and helpful.”
“I loved the trip and conquered my fear of heights by doing the Giant Swing and Zip wire.”
