A Level Results August 2015

Thursday, 13 August 2015

We are absolutely delighted with this year’s A level results.  The whole year group worked exceptionally hard and, with the brilliant support of their teachers, did outstandingly well.  There were 113 students in year 13 who between them sat 319 examinations at A2.  The overall pass rate (grades A*-E) at A2 was 99.7%.  32% of all grades were at A* or A, a further 32% were at grade B and an additional 21% were at grade C; in total, therefore, 85% of all the grades obtained were at A*, A, B or C.  These are truly excellent results of which the students can be justifiably proud.

The average point score for A2 entry was an extremely pleasing 235.  The average point score for year 13 students, including both their AS and A2 results, is calculated as 818 (although this figure is still provisional).  14 students achieved either 3 or 4 A* or A grades.  These are exceptionally good results which bode extremely well for university entry this year.

Our students did brilliantly well and are to be most warmly congratulated on their fully deserved success at these challenging examinations.
