The Japanese Department
In the Japanese Department we aim to teach our students the importance of another language and culture. We would like students to form links with people from other countries and to understand that international relations are very valuable to us in business and friendship.
In our lessons, we strive to motivate our students to achieve their targets, encourage them to increase their interest in the language and help them become independent learners. We hope to help our students to become global citizens.
We have established a good relationship with our sister school, Kanagawa Sohgoh High School in Yokohama, Japan. We visit the school every two years to develop students’ understanding of and links with another culture. Every student from Presdales has an opportunity to participate in our Japanese cultural trip and visit Tokyo and then spend time with host families in Kanagawa Prefecture. In March the Kanagawa Sohgoh High School students visit Presdales to improve their skills in English and to increase their awareness of our learning and customs. Our students get a chance to act as hosts or school partners. Our sister school visit has been very successful for more than 10 years.
